About Us
The mission of the Laurel Village Association is to improve the quality of life for everyone that lives, works, shops or plays in the Laurel neighborhood of Oakland. Our focus is on community building, encouraging participation in improving the environment, eradicating grafitti and blight, promoting public safety, emergency preparedness and crime prevention, attracting new business to the Laurel commercial corridor, advocating for Laurel-based parks and a public library, and celebrating the rich ethnic, cultural, musical, and artistic diversity that exists in the Laurel neighborhood of Oakland.
